What a Professional Airbnb Turnover Should Actually Catch

A turnover is not simply a residential clean performed quickly. It is a deadline-driven property reset with a new customer arriving behind it.

Cleaning is only the first layer.

Bathrooms, kitchens, floors, dust, trash, and linens must be handled correctly—but a five-star turnover also requires presentation and observation. The team should notice whether the remote is missing, the coffee supply is low, the chair is loose, or the last guest stained a towel.

The five parts of a dependable turnover

  1. Clean: Restore every agreed room to the property standard.
  2. Launder: Plan linen volume around the actual machines and check-in deadline.
  3. Stage: Reset beds, towels, amenities, and furniture consistently.
  4. Inspect: Look for damage, missing items, low supplies, and maintenance concerns.
  5. Report: Communicate anything the owner needs to approve or address.

Why documentation matters

Completion photos and clear issue notes protect the owner, the guest experience, and the turnover team. They establish what was ready, what was observed, and what requires a decision before check-in.

The cheapest clean can become the most expensive.

A low turnover price is not a bargain if the owner spends hours chasing updates, replaces overlooked supplies at the last minute, issues guest refunds, or loses reviews because the property was technically clean but not actually ready.
